Jillian Froment Named Insurance Department’s Chief Administrative Officer
— Ohio Lieutenant Governor and Department of Insurance Director Mary Taylor named Jillian Froment the Department’s Chief Administrative Officer. Froment is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Department’s fiscal, human resources, information technology, communications and consumer affairs divisions.
“It is a pleasure to have someone with Jillian’s experience on board to help lead the Department of Insurance,” said Lieutenant Governor Taylor.
Froment most recently served for more than two years as the City Administrator for Marysville.
“I am extremely excited about joining the staff at the Ohio Department of Insurance,” said Froment. “While I enjoyed my time serving the citizens of Marysville, working at the Department will give me an opportunity to serve all the citizens of our great state.”
As Marysville’s City Administrator, Froment was responsible for the management of all municipal services and more than 150 employees. Prior to that, she was the Executive Director for eTech Ohio Commission, the Assistant Deputy Director and General Counsel in the Office of Collective Bargaining, and a compliance officer for the Ohio Department of Youth Services.
Froment earned a Juris Doctorate from Capital University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from The Ohio State University. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, West Virginia Bar Association, Union County Bar Association, and the Rotary Club of Union County. She is a board member of Ruling Our eXperiences (ROX), a non-profit organization assisting girls in developing the skills to deal with the social, personal, and academic issues of adolescence.
She and her husband, Kevin Potter, reside in Marysville.
